More News and Links!

Hey, everyone! I'm going to give away more books (The Darkness Dwellers and How to Lead a Life of Crime) this week. And at some point soon, I'm going to give away an entire three-book set of Kiki Strike (featuring the all new covers).

In the meantime, here's a guest post I wrote for one of my favorite blogs, Mundie Moms: The Five Books That Inspired Me as a Kid

A review from another all-time favorite, Bookshelves of Doom. (Thanks for the amazing review!!)

A super fun interview with Squeaky Books

My list of the Top 10 Kick Butt Characters over at The Young Folks blog.

An interview with The Write Path

I think I've covered most of my blog visits. If I've left anyone out, my apologies! My list is a bit off, but I'll link to you very soon!

And if any of you are interested in reading reviews of The Darkness Dwellers, there are plenty out there (and the vast majority of them are nice). All you have to do is Google. (Though, I gotta tell you. As far as reviews are concerned, getting Bookshelves of Doom's recommendation really made my year. She's been with Kiki from the very beginning. I was really hoping she'd enjoy the third installment.)

And last but not least, don't forget to come see me, Michael Buckley and Rebecca Stead talk about the classic book, Harriet the Spy at Symphony Space on February 3rd. Invitation below!

For the blog tour, I emailed you about the interview for New Moon a few days ago, but I haven't heard anything. Maybe it went to spam? It should pop up as from "Julia [insert last name]

The third book is sold out in every Barnes and noble in North Texas/my fifty mile radius of North Texas! Thrilling, even if it means no Kiki.

The Darkness Dwellers was good, but not as good. It lacked some of the Kiki Strike shine that your readers have come to love. But it was still good.

Most recent anonymous: Gee, thanks! Ha. I suppose you don't want any more then?

Oh, no! Please write more Kiki! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

I wanna see what happens to Lili! Will Livia and Sidonia come back? Are Kaspar's squirrels gonna turn on him? I NEED TO KNOW.

You should right more!!! The Darkness Dwellers wrapped things up, but there's still plenty of room for more books. I really liked The Darkness Dwellers.

Dear Kirsten:

You're going to have to talk to your publisher's promotions department. You've got a new book and a full new-cover rerelease of the two previous books in one series, a new book (stand alone or new series) both coming out, and what do you get? A blog tour! I know it must be great, especially with interviewers who ask the unexpected, but surely they've a budget for more ... or did they spend it all on the new Kiki Strike covers?

Robert: Thanks so much for jumping to my defense! But both of my publishers know that I can't travel much to promote these books. I have too much going on in New York. And I honestly believe that I reach 100x the people doing blog tours!

There needs to be book trailers made for Kiki Strike!
